Staff Sergeant(Sgt.) Billy Joe Toliver, Army Air Forces, recently returned home from England after serving six months in combat as tail gunner on a Liberator of the 8th Air Force. He completed thirty-five bombing missions in the Lucky Lucy. He wears the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC), the Air Medal with four clusters, and a Distinguished Unit Badge. A copy of his framed portrait is pictured here. He is shown dressed in military uniform. Sergeant (Sgt.) Toliver is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Toliver. His wife and a month-old son live in Memphis, Texas. His two brothers are in military services. Sergeant (Sgt.) Toliver is currently stationed in Amarillo, Texas.
