    Image shows shot of the overturned car of J. H. Barnes, Lake Worth, Texas. Four members of a family who occupied the automobile escaped serious injury when the car struck a parked machine, overturned and hit an automobile owned by Rex Chenault, tavern operator, at Long Avenue and the Northwest Highway. Mrs. J. H. Barnes was driving the car. In the automobile with her were her husband and two sons, 5 and 7 years old. She suffered acid burns from battery fluid and Barnes received minor face cuts. There is another automobile parked beside the overturned one. Two unidentified people are shown on the right side. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition May 30, 1940.
