Description
Four Venezuelan Air Force officers were greeted by Lieutenant Colonel Robert P. Bliss, deputy commander to the Assistant Chief of Staff, Intelligence, after their arrival to Fort Worth, Texas for a visit to the Army Air Forces Training Command (AAFTC) headquarters as part of the Hispanic-American Field Officers program. Standing left to right: Captain Carlos Maldonado Pena, Director of Civil Aviation School; Captain Miquel De LaRosa, commander of the Tenth Venezuelan Fighter Group; Colonel Bliss; Major Victor Sandoval, director of Military Aviation School; Lieutenant Horacio Lopez Conde, Executive to Director of Civil Aviation; and Captain Andrew Massett, Army Air Forces. The Venezuelan officers are wearing their military uniforms. Colonel Bliss and Major Sandoval are shaking hands. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 5, 1944.
