Lieutenant (Lt.) Roger C. Neely Junior (Jr.) spent his 22nd birthday, July 11, on a mission to Munich, toughest of his 32 missions. Lieutenant Neely is shown standing against a bare wall, facing front and smiling for the camera. He is wearing his military casual with Air Medal, that has three oak leaf clusters, and the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC). He participated in D-Day bombings on the Normandy coast. Neely, a graduate of Paschal High School and former student at Texas Christian University (TCU), is home on leave to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roger C. Neely Senior (Sr.), 2229 Mistletoe Boulevard. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 3, 1944.
