    Description

American Legion. Left to right, Homer Royer, Drew Clifton and C. A. Collison, looking at a poster. American Legion leaders aiding in directing the campaign to provide gifts for hospitalized service personnel in Texas. The three men are standing together on the left side of the photograph staring at a large banner to their left. All three men are wearing suits: suit jacket, collared shirts, ties and pants. The tie on Mr. Royer has wide diagonal stripes. Mr. Collison on the right is wearing a striped shirt. All three men are holding wrapped Christmas packages with ribbon bows in their hands. The part of the banner showing in the photograph has the word "Christmas" arcing across the top. Below that are the words "For the Yanks". In between the two sets of lettering is an American Legion seal. Below "For the Yanks" are the words, "The American Legion and Auxiliaries". Further down below, the banner says on separate lines, "Post #447", "Post #15" and "Post #485". Above the men's heads is another sign that reads "Deposit Packages Here" with a diagonal arrow pointing down.
