Description
A portion of the reviewing stand as the 1st Battalion, Texas Guardettes, celebrated the organization's second anniversary, as Mrs. Orville E. Tunstill, (at microphone, far right) Service Men's Center director, made an address. In the stand are, left to right, front row, Captain Gladys Mitchell, Lieutenant Colonel Marshall H. Kennady of the Texas State Guard, Lieutenant Colonel Pat Wooten and Colonel Gladys Foote. In the rear row, left to right, Al Clyde, district attorney-elect, and Reverend Cecil W. Taylor. The officers in the front row are wearing military uniforms and the men in the back row are wearing suits. Mrs. Tunstill is wearing a long fur coat. Woman in rear row, far left, unidentified, is wearing a military uniform. There are seated spectators to the right of the reviewing stand. There is a building behind the reviewing stand and a group of people are standing next to the building.
