    Second Lieutenant Thomas O. Cardwell, 23, recently received his pilot's wings after graduating from Pampa Army Air Forces. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Cardwell. Lieutenant Cardwell served two-and-a-half years with the Army Air Forces as a teletype operator in Puerto Rico before receiving his wings. Lt. Cardwell is wearing his military uniform and an overcoat.
