Lieutenant and Mrs. R. S. Paddock and son, Richard Stanton, Junior. In the photograph, Mrs. Paddock is sitting in an arm chair holding her baby on her lap. Standing behind the chair is Lt. Paddock. The chair has wooden arm rests and is covered in floral material. Mrs Paddock is looking directly at the camera. Her left hand is holding two fingers of the baby's left hand while her right hand is resting on the baby's back. She is wearing a knee length dress with elbow length sleeves and decorative trim on the shoulder. She is also wearing fingernail polish. The baby is sitting on top of a small quilted square on her lap. He is wearing a short sleeve romper, ankle length socks and ankle length lace-up shoes. Lt. Paddock is wearing a four-pocket army uniform with a collared shirt, tie and pants There are medals on each lapel. He is gazing down at his wife and son. His hands are resting on the back of the chair. Directly behind him there is a window with curtains and a plant on a ledge. Behind Mrs. Paddock, there is a framed photo of three individuals and a plant in a small, slender vase. Above her there is an artistic print on the wall. To her left, there is a small table with a potted plant. The three of them are visiting Mrs. Paddock's mother on their way to Lt. Paddock's permanent station at Laughlin Field, Del Rio.
