Halfback Jimmie Pollock of Masonic Home "land" beside end Callowry of poly after tackling the ball carrier on the opening kickoff of Wednesday night's District 7-AA encounter at Farrington Field. Lowry returned the ball five yards to the parrots' 45. Poly won its season's finale, 19-6. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 23, 1944.
