    Description

Sergeant Guy Warren, right, assistant commandant of the Paschal High School Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) unit, shows Richard Harden, sophomore of 1821 8th Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, how to remove grease-packing from an Enfield rifle when members of the school's cadet corps began unpacking, cleaning, and racking up for use 300 of the 1,050 World War I rifles assigned to Fort Worth senior high school ROTC units this week. Both men are squatting as Harden holds one rifle over a bucket to drain the grease. In the background is the rack where rifles are stored. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 23, 1944.
