    Lieutenant Raymond K. Clifton, Fort Worth, Texas, Army combat engineer, was back home on leave while recovering from injuries received in Normandy where he saw 68 days of action. Lt. Clifton was awarded the Purple Heart and a battle star for the Normandy campaign.
