    Description

    B-24 bombardier, Lieutenant Ryan F. Taylor of Burleson, Texas is home on leave from the 15th Air Force in Italy. He is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Taylor of Burleson. He is a 1940 graduate of Paschal High School and entered the Army in November 1942. He has gone through 50 combat missions and describes the most memorable event as the time when a heavy cannon fell through the nose of the plane and did not go off. He holds the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with two clusters. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 22, 1944.
