Description
Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Worley celebrating their sixtieth wedding anniversary. The photograph shows the couple sitting beside each other at the foot of a bed. Mr. Worley is staring straight at the camera. He is wearing a pin-striped suit jacket unbuttoned, a tie and a collared shirt. He has a hand placed on each knee. Mrs. Worley is looking down at the floor. She is wearing a very dark-colored long sleeve dress, ruffled scarf and a knitted cape draped over her shoulders. The cape is tied close with a fabric ribbon. Her right hand is resting on her knee while she uses her left hand to hold a handkerchief and rests it on her lap. The foot board of the bed is metal. There is a table to the right of Mr. Worley with an assortment of items on top. There is a window behind him with sheer gingham curtains. To the left of Mrs. Worley and slightly behind her is a pillow and some clothes. On the wall behind the her is a picture of a horse. The couple's nine daughters honored their parents on their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner. The couple got married in Middleton, Tennessee before moving to Texas.
