Description
Soldiers from the 529th Field Artillery Battalion from North Camp Hood, participants in the Sixth War Loan Drive parade. A group is eating hot chicken dinner that had been prepared on kitchen trucks as the unit rolled toward Fort Worth, Texas. They are shown in bivouac field quarters set up late Sunday afternoon at Will Rogers memorial Coliseum grounds. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 20, 1944.
