Reverend Ervin Gathings, appointed as associate minister of First Methodist Church at the Central Texas annual conference held in Mineral Wells. Reverend Gathings, native of Covingston, received his Bachelor of Arts degree at Texas Wesleyan College in June 1943, and is studying toward a Bachelor of Divinity degree at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. In this picture, he is wearing glasses and a suit and tie and looking to the right of the camera. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 11, 1944.
