Description
Private First Class (Pfc.) James Carpenter (left) and David Sellars, co-ordinator of instruction for the Fort Worth Public Schools are pictured here. Two men standing next to each other and smiling. James Carpenter, veteran of World War II, using crutches and wearing military uniform. Mr. Sellars is wearing a suit. He was the principal of the George Clarke School when paratrooper Carpenter was a pupil there. Mr. Sellars has plenty of questions to ask the paratrooper as his son just completed his paratroop training. The former principal and his pupil held a reunion in Fort Worth and Private First Class (Pfc.) Carpenter was speaking in the interest of the Sixth War Loan drive. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 10, 1944.
