Two Navy Ferry Service "Storks" on duty at the Municipal Airport (Fort Worth Meacham Field). Lieutenant Commander H. C. Hastings (seated), in charge of ferry flight control and Lieutenant Thomas F. Kendrick, in charge of the Navy service and repair unit. "Storks" was a nickname of the Naval Air Ferry Command due to the stork image on their flight jacket insignia. Published morning edition, Nov. 4, 1944, Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
