Description
Captain Martin H. Johnson Junior is a veteran of 75 combat missions. He won the Distinguished Flying Cross and was awarded the Air Medal and three Oak Leaf Clusters. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin H. Johnson. The 8th Air Force captain was sitting at home for the first time in 14 months. He will leave for the West Coast for reassignment after this. He is Paschal High School graduate. He went overseas in November 1943. In this picture, he is sitting in a chair, wearing his uniform, and smoking a cigarette. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 3, 1944.
