Description
William B. Cloud is a seaman first class in the United States Navy. He is home on a thirty-day emergency leave in Fort Worth, Texas. He was stationed in the South Pacific at a ship-repair base for the last six months. Cloud was recalled through the efforts of the National Red Cross because of the death of his wife, Mrs. Cloud, on October 13, 1944. Cloud has three children- They are W. B. Jr., George Gary, and Iris Ruth. They are currently living with Mrs. Cloud's sister, Mrs. Joe Delewiade. Before shipping out with the Navy, Cloud was a Linotype operator at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He is shown standing in an at-ease position, dressed in his military uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 2, 1944.
