Description
After 14 months, Homer R. Payne, quartermaster third class, is home in Fort Worth, Texas, to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Payne. The 20-year-old sailor participated in seven battles aboard a battleship in the Pacific. He attended Polytechnic High School and was employed by the Star-Telegram before entering the Navy in 1943. After the war, Homer plans to go into the cattle business with his brother-in-law. Homer is standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
