    Staff Sergeant J. P. Riley, 23, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Riley, from Cleburne, Texas was recently awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in England for "extraordinary achievement in aerial combat". The B-17 waist gunner who has been overseas for six months, has completed all his missions and is now awaiting assignment. This is a copy of an original portrait Sgt. Riley, in which he appears to be wearing his uniform.
