Description
Two British and two United States Army officers and one of the many mules they purchased at Mansfield, Texas, for use as pack animals by the British Army. The officers are, left to right, Major W. B. Bamber (British), Major R. M. Zirkle, Colonel C. A. Wilkinson and Lieutenant Colonel D. A. Green (British). Colonel Green and Major Bamber are of the British Army Veterinary and Remount Service. Wilkinson is commanding officer of the Southwestern area of the Army Remount Services. Major Zirkle is his chief veterinarian. They are all wearing their military uniforms.
