Description
Highway 183 from Fort Worth, Texas, to Dallas, Texas, was opened officially at a ceremony in Irving, Texas. Holding the barrier ribbon, left to right, were J. J. Hurley, County Judge Templeton, Major General Richard K. Donovan, Judge Kraft, Mayor Woodall Rodgers and State Highway Commissioner Williams. There are unidentified men standing to the left of Mr. Hurley and to the right of Mr. Williams on the shoulder of the road. Mr. Hurley is the city projects director representing Fort Worth, Texas. He is wearing a hat with a Fort Worth, Texas, ribbon and a pinstripe suit. Judge Templeton is a county judge from Dallas, Texas. He is dressed in a hat and a double breasted suit. Major General Richard K. Donovan is commanding general of the 8th Service Command. He is dressed in his military uniform. Tarrant County Judge Kraft is wearing a hat with a Fort Worth, Texas, ribbon and a double breasted suit. Mayor Rodgers, of Dallas, Texas, is wearing a hat and a dark colored suit. Mr. Williams is dressed in a hat and a three piece suit. Behind the ribbon cutting ceremony are several parked cars and a traffic officer.
