Mrs. Christine Trevino, looking at Purple Heart awarded to her husband, received posthumously. She is siting in an office chair holding an award given to her husband Private Candelario J. Trevino, who died June 7 of wounds received the previous day in action over France with the Paratroopers. Private Trevino attended Jennings Avenue Junior High School and worked at the Blackstone Hotel prior to joining the Army. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, September 25, 1944.
