Second Lieutenant Thomas B. Long of Wichita Falls, Texas and San Antonio, Texas, has been awarded the Air Medal for combat missions Europe as navigator on an 8th Air Force Flying Fortress. Long was born in Wichita Falls and had entered high school there before moving to Houston and later to San Antonio. This is a portrait of him wearing his pilot uniforms.
