    Mrs. Bess Ellis McCollum, 67, who died September 13, 1944, was president of the Pioneer Rest Association. Funeral will be conducted at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church by Rev. Louis F. Martin. Mrs. McCollum was educated in old Fort Worth University and attended college in Lexington, Kentucky. She was married in 1905 to the late H. K. McCollum. The 1,500-acre ranch of Mrs. McCollum's father covered most of North Fort Worth, from the present 20th Street northward. Mrs. McCollum was an active member of St. Ann's Guild of St. Andrew's Church and was a director of the Lecture Foundation. She also was a leader in the movement to preserve and beautify Pioneer Rest.
