Description
Fort Worth, Texas City Manager Sam Bothwell and Miss Lelia Feregar. Miss Feregar received from the state Department of Health Grade C licenses, the reward of special school duty and completion of written examination. Miss Feregar's license is believed to be the first ever issued in Texas to a woman. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, September 14, 1944.
