    Description

    Royal H. Darrah, 62, of Lake Worth, resident manager for the Sinclair refining company whose death occurred Tuesday afternoon in a Fort Worth hospital after a short illness. He died September 12, 1944. His funeral services conducted at Robertson-Mueller-Harper Temple. His body will be cremated. Mr. Darrah had been connected with the refining company for 25 years, having handled real estate properties in the East before coming to Fort Worth at the inception of the company's southwestern district in 1930. Before his appointment as resident manager here he was in charge of Sinclair's marketing operations in West Texas and New Mexico. He was born and reared in Savannah, Missouri, and joined the Standard Oil Company in Missouri when he was 21. He went to Sinclair in 1919. This is a portrait of him, wearing a suit with tie and glasses. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, September 13, 1944.
