Lillian Jane Grange, WAVE (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service), seaman, second class joined the service to see the world and so far she has only been away from home six weeks and on her first assignment was sent back to Oklahoma where she does architectural draftsman's work at the Naval Air Station at Norman. A 1938 graduate of Texas Christian University and a post graduate at Texas State College for Women, she taught at Everman for a year. Prior to her enlistment she worked as a detailed draftsman at the Convair plant and lacked just two months of getting her two-year service pin. Seaman Grange was here recently on leave visiting a cousin. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition September 17, 1944.
