Lieutenant (Lt.) J. M. Tuggle is a thirty-four year old pilot in the United States Navy. He is the commanding officer of the Navy Air Transport Unit at the Municipal Airport, veteran flier and formerly instructor in the Hail Flying School at Austin. Lieutenant (Lt.) Tuggle is a full fledged Navy "Stork", meaning he made at least 25 transatlantic flights without accident. He is shown seated at office desk, smoking a cigarette. He is dressed in Navy uniform. Behind him on a stand is a rotary dial phone. He attended Baylor University for a while, then Texas A&M. He went into the Navy's air arm in May, 1942, receiving his wings at the Corpus Christi Air Station on July 4, 1942. His wife, Mrs. Tuggle lives with two daughters and has a private flier's license and nearly 200 hours. Lieutenant (Lt.) Tuggle has more than 3,150 flying hours to his credit.
