Description
Lieutenant Jane Ritter, a former Oklahoma school teacher, arrived in Fort Worth, Texas, to assume her duties as a Women's Army Corps (WAC) recruiting officer. She is replacing Lieutenant Juanita Biddle, who was made commander of the Louisiana district. Lieutenant Ritter is a graduate of Central State College at Edmund, Oklahoma. She taught mathematics and pre-flight in the Edmund high schools before enlisting in the service in December 1942. Lieutenant Ritter is standing against a wall, dressed in her military uniform.
