Sitting on a couch, left to right, are Mrs. Jack Bornstein, of Brookline, Massachusetts, and Mrs. Robert G. Hand, of Maplewood, New Jersey. Mrs. Bornstein is an army wife and volunteer nurse's aid. She has been following her captain husband all over the United States, doing work as a volunteer nurse's aid. She is staying in Fort Worth, Texasn for a few weeks and volunteering at Harris Memorial Methodist Hospital. Mrs. Bornstein is sitting on a couch with her arms crossed. She is wearing a striped blouse, a blazer and a skirt. Mrs. Hand is sitting next to her, dressed in a blouse with a pinstripe blazer and skirt. There is a mantle over their heads with a potted plant. Off to the left is an open window with a shelf underneath. Books and a military photograph fill the shelf.
