Posthumous Honor Awarded Private -- The Purple Heart has been awarded posthumously to Private (Pvt.) Paul Mobley, member of a 4th Division field artillery communications unit, who was killed in action in France June 8. Private Mobley is pictured here -- a half bust portrait of a young man in uniform, facing front. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Mobley of Texas City, formerly of Borger where he was born and attended grade school. His widow, the former Miss Malinda M. Smith, and their daughter live here. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 27, 1944.
