Description
Sergeant John E. Wade, of Whitesboro, Texas, was awarded the Purple Heart posthumously. He was killed in action with the infantry on June 24, 1944. He is the son of George Wade and has a twin brother, Corporal Jerome P. Wade, who is stationed in Italy. Sergeant Wade is pictured in front of a house, wearing his military uniform and smoking a cigarette.
