    Description

    Ensign Daysie Rhome, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Rhome, entered the service in January of 1943. She will soon leave for her station at Ward Island, Corpus Christi, Texas. She has two brothers in the service - Lieutenant Byron C. Rhome and Chief Specialist Otto C. Rhome. Ensign Rhome is a graduate of Texas Christian University and majored in Physical Education. She is in charge of athletic activities at Ward Island. She will teach badminton, tennis, swimming, basketball, softball, and speedball. Ensign Rhome is standing against a wall, dressed in her military uniform.
