George H. Kurucar, 28, seaman first class, who participated in the battles of Tarawa, Marshall Islands, and Saipan, recently visited friends and relatives before returning to New Orleans for reassignment. Seaman Kurucar is shown standing against a bare wall, facing front and smiling. He is wearing uniform. He has a total of 19 months sea duty. He was graduated from old Central High School in 1932. He is the grandson of the late George Kurucar of Fort Worth. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 24, 1944.
