Lieutenant Earl W. Schmid, son of Mrs. Edna Wilkes Schmid, is a B-29 instructor at Alamogordo, New Mexico. Lieutenant Schmid, 22 years old, entered the Air Forces two years earlier after graduating from Tri-State College in Angola, Indiana. He is also a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, Texas. Lieutenant Schmid is wearing his military uniform.
