    Description

    American Red Cross Motor Corps volunteers are driving two wounded veterans from Temple, Texas to Fort Worth, Texas to give a speech at the bond premiere. The volunteers and veterans left to right, are Miss Frances Nelson, Corporal (Corp.) Woodrow Brown, Lieutenant (Lt.) Ralph S. McGill, and Miss Doris Jean Bridges. Both women are wearing Red Cross uniforms while the men are wearing Army uniforms. Corporal Brown is missing his left hand while Lieutenant McGill is walking with the aid of crutches. Behind the group is a Red Cross automobile. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 28, 1944.
