Women's Army Corps (WAC) Sergeant Rita R. Cohen, control tower operator at Fort Worth Army Air Field, received birthday greetings from her mother, Mrs. Nettie Cohen of Brooklyn, by way of the Chamber of Commerce and Miss Ola Wright, secretary. Mrs. Cohen wrote the chamber asking that her daughter have the cake. Sergeant Cohen is shown standing wearing uniform and holding the birthday cake. There are candles around the cake. She is smiling for the camera. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 25, 1944.
