Description
The Wesley Vespers Debate Team is hosting a debate Sunday night in the church parlor of First Methodist Church. The topic up for discussion is "Resolved, that marriages should be deferred for the duration," of the war. Participating in the debate, left to right, are Mary Owen, Jimmy Birdwell, and Maybell Criner. Miss Owen is the reader. She is wearing a short-sleeve blouse and a vest and has a flower in her hair. Mr. Birdwell is one of three debaters representing the affirmative side. He is dressed in a suit. Miss Criner is president of the debate team and chairman for the debate. She is wearing a dress.
