Description
Copy of a military portrait photograph of Private First Class Howard J. Snellings, a member of the 143rd Infantry of the United States Army. He was fighting with the 36th Division in Italy on June 14, 1944, when we was wounded in action. He was pinned under the wreckage of a two-story stone building with heavy wooden beams. Private Snellings is receiving the Purple Heart for his injuries. He is pictured wearing his military uniform.
