Description
B. E. Jordan, Boatswain's Mate Second Class, who served aboard a transport with a naval amphibious force and was wounded May 14, 1943, while unloading supplies at Attu in the Aleutians, has been awarded the Purple Heart. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jordan and the husband of the former Miss Lila Frances Ray of Longview. Jordan wears his navy uniform in the portrait photograph. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 21, 1944.
