Yankee crewmen his problems, says Ft. Worth flier. First Lieutenant Irvin J. Floore, B-17 bombadier who has been in England for eight months and has completed 28 missions believes that "the roughest part of it all was convincing my Yankee crew how wonderful Texas really is." Floore, recipient of the DFC and the Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters, is spending a 30 day leave with his wife and parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Floore. He was a Star-Telegram carrier-salesman while attending Central High School, and worked for Medcalf and Thomas before enlisting November 1940. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition July 10, 1944.
