C. E. Papworth funeral today. Reverend Irving Smith will officiate at funeral services at 1:30 pm Saturday at Gause-Ware Memorial Chapel for Charles E. Papworth, 86. Burial will be in Corsicana. Papworth, 86, (left). a native of Spaulding, England, came to the United States in 1882. From 1889 to 1897 he was assistant superintendent of the Texas State Orphans Home at Corsicana. He lived in Angleton in 1900 when it was destroyed by a tropical storm. In 1906 he moved to Fort Worth and has been a landscape florist for many years.
