Staff Sergeant Carroll Truett O'Donald, to receive the Purple Heart posthumously. Staff Sgt. O'Donald, who effected the single-handed capture of 28 Germans on Hill 790, near Cairo, Italy was killed in action during a subsequent attack against the enemy on Hill 468. A copy of a picture of Staff Sergeant O'Donald wearing his military uniform.
