Description
James A. Lucas graduated from the Army Engineers Officer Cadet School (OCS) at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and was commissioned second lieutenant. He was in Fort Worth, Texas to visit his mother before reporting to his station in Washington, D. C. Lieutenant Lucas attended North Texas Agricultural College and Texas Technical College in Lubbock, Texas before entering the service in June, 1943. He is standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
