A. L. Barnes, 21, returned service man, is pictured here. He is shown standing on a diving platform and ready to dive into the pool. Doctor recommended swimming is one of the strengthening exercises for this former Marine Corps private. Barnes has a Young Men's Christian association (YMCA) membership and he takes his daily splash there. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Barnes. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 20, 1944.
