Victory gardens are in full bloom in Fort Worth, Texas. Shoulder-deep in black-eyed peas are two-year old Charley Yates and his grandfather, J. J. Henderson. Mr. Henderson is holding a wicker basket as he teaches his grandson to harvest crop. Mr. Henderson is dressed in a wide-brimmed straw hat and a short-sleeve shirt. Charley is wearing overalls and a hat on a string around his neck.
