Description
Copy of a half bust portrait of Lieutenant Junior Grade (Lt. jg) R. H. Grimes, Junior (Jr.). He is in military uniform. He as a pilot of a carrier based Hellcat in the Southwest Pacific, shot down three enemy planes and scored an assist on another. He is a graduate of Paschal High School and attended North Texas Agricultural College (NTAC). He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Grimes. His father, Star-Telegram pressman, is a veteran of World War I and II. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 12, 1944.
