Will Rogers War Training School and others of the sort undoubtedly offer an ideal setting for returning veteran. William P. Loomis of Washington, United States Department of Education of ficial, asserted as he toured the plant and remarked on its excellent layout. Loomis inspected the facilities of the school offering training for replacement workers and for upgrading persons already employed in war plants. He also conferred with Sidney Wilson, director of war training in Fort Worth in the program which has turned out thousands of war plant workers, with Joe P. Moore, assistant school superintendent. Loomis said the 2,000 war training schools in the nation have prepared 6,000,000 workers for war plants in two years. Published int he Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 9, 1944.
